Happy Father’s Day… Now Pay Up!
Some deadbeat dads got early Father’s Day greetings from the Genesee County Friend of the Court.
Fathers with unpaid child support in Grand Blanc, Swartz Creek and Burton didn’t get cards but were given the choice of finding some cash or going to jail.
Not surprisingly, most of them came up with the money — about $10,000 in all.
Two men ended up in jail, and Friend of the Court Jack Battles promises more friendly visits this summer.
“Every day is Father’s Day at the Friend of the Court,” said Battles.
